Gel 400 is a cross linked PAM for maintaining hydration of soil, seed and growth.

Gel 400 is a superabsorbent polymer, popularly known as a cross-linked PAM. It can retain up to 500 times its own weight in water, allowing for continual hydration. Gel 400 is effective, as it can absorb water during periods of high moisture such as after irrigation and rain; and then release the absorbed water when conditions merit.
